SCHOOL & PARENTING WORKSHOPS!

We offer a variety of workshops to parents and educators at all schools within the Tooele County School District. Be sure to give us a call if you're interested in you're interested in signing up for any of these workshops!

"Building Blocks to Literacy"~ This class offers simple, practical, and easy ways to promote, encourage, and enjoy the adventure of reading.

"10 Ways To Help Your Child Succeed in School"~ Tips & ideas of how to create a learning environment in your home while encouraging your child to shoot for the stars!

"Homework Hassels"~ If you're at your wits end of trying to get your child to do their homework, then this class is for you.

"Parent-Teacher Partnerships"~ Learn how to create a partnership with your child's teacher. As a team you and your child's teacher can be a powerful force in your student's learning development.

Story & Craft Hour

Come with your child and enjoy the adventure of books! Our storyteller's, Mandy Feith and Parent Liason, Teshia Williams, are fun, creative, & entertaining. Along with the themes of the stories children make a craft they take home. With the holiday's approaching we have LOTS of FUN things in store!

Story Hour is every Thursday at 10:00 a.m. & 1:00 p.m.

Ready, Set, School! Preschool Hour

Free preshool for all children 0 - 5yrs. old. Each week we have fun lessons full of stories, songs, activities, & some sign language to help prepare your child for school. These lessons are taught by Michele Chatterton, a certified teacher and our Parent Liason, Mandy Moore. This is also a learning opportunity for parents to be taught important things they can do at home to help their children and create a learning centered home. Come & check it out!

Classes are every Tuesday @ 10:00 a.m.

About Us

"Bringing Families and Schools Together for Student Success!" We are a parent information rescource center for all families of Tooele County. Our goal is parent involvement in a child's education from birth to graduation. We offer many workshops to give parents the tools they need to have successful families. Our lending library is child friendly offering hundreds of books for parents and children, educational toys, computer software, literacy tools, dvd's, & early childhood education kits. We welcome everyone to call or visit us for more information!

I'm in my 8th year as the coordinator! I have a strong belief that every child no matter what their limitations are can become whatever they dream to be. I'm also convinced that one of the most important ways that a child's dream can be reached is with parent guidance, support, and love! Parents need support, assistance, and resources to help them in their important role of helping their child succeed! I am here to assist and help families obtain resources and provide information to improve their child's development, academics, and family relationships. Another key role we have is to offer schools assistance by providing parents with the resources they need to help their child, to teach parents their responsibility in their child's education and how they can give support to teachers and their school. I truly love helping people and I'm here to help you!
